Illinois BASSET Alcohol Certification Online - eTIPS     

Basset Certification is the State of Illinois' mandatory seller/server training program under the licensing and regulatory of the Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILCC), The BASSET Program is designed to encourage sellers/servers of alcoholic beverages to serve responsibly and stay within the law. Several municipal and county liquor licensing authorities have established specific training requirements as a condition for employment in liquor-serving establishments. Over 150 communities and counties currently have this requirement. TIPS® Certified is approved by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission for BASSET On-Premise and Off-Premise alcohol training & certification.

TIPS Certified BASSET Alcohol Training & Certification is approved by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILLC) for mandatory BASSET alcohol training & certification. Illinois requires all bartenders, servers, waiters, bouncers or anyone serving alcohol or checking ID’s to be BASSET Certified within 120 days of employment. Current BASSET certificate holders will not be required to be re-certified until their certificate expires. The address you provide during registration determines the state & local regulations covered by the course taught, and where your permanent TIPS Card will be mailed.
